(WTXL) - The inspector general is investigating an attack from earlier this week where an inmate stabbed three officers and hit another one in the face.

The Corrections department says it happened Tuesday around 6 p.m. at the Hamilton Correctional Institution.

Inmate Joseph Miller became rattled, and that's when the assault took place. Staff got the situation under control.

The officers' injuries were not serious. Miller is serving time for burglary, robbery and grand theft.

This was not the only inmate attack this week.

The Corrections department says Quentin Bradley, who is in prison for murder, assaulted two officers Sunday at the Taylor Correctional Institution in Perry.

The officers were examined by the medical staff for injuries.

Bradley was given a disciplinary report.
