COLQUITT COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL) - An inmate of the Colquitt County Jail is found dead in his cell overnight.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was requested to conduct an investigation on the case.
The GBI said today that the inmate, Carroll Ray Fender, was born in March of 1983.
Fender was found dead in his cell by Colquitt Co. Jail staff.
An autopsy will be performed on his body at the GBI Crime Lab to determine the cause of death.
