DECATUR COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL) - An inmate is back in jail after deputies say his fiance helped him escape from work detail so they could have sex.

On Thursday, the Decatur County Sheriff's Office was alerted that an inmate escaped from his regularly scheduled work detail at the Decatur Fire Department with the help of his fiance.

Reports say 21-year-old, Tyler Brook, was helping with duties at the fire department when he began to wander out of sight.

Officials say an employee at the nearby airport saw Brook wander away and then get into a vehicle.

The warden of the prison says that Brook says the couple had planned it out in an effort to have sex. The warden says they likely came back because they were spooked.

They say the fiance, Angel Jones, would come and visit him constantly through approved visiting hours.

Brook had a bond hearing on Friday, December 8 and is being transferred to a state prison. He could face anywhere from 1 to 10 additional years for this act.

Jones is being charged with aiding and abetting.
