SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Firefighters in Suwannee County said that an infant was airlifted to a trauma center and six others were transported to the hospital after a two car crash on U.S. 129.
Suwannee Fire Rescue posted on their Facebook that they were called to a two car accident on U.S. 129 and CR 252 West around 5:30 p.m.
They said that crews arrived to find a rear end crash with heavy damage to both cars.
There were a total of seven people in the accident with one patient being an infant who was airlifted to UF Health Pediatric Trauma Center by Airlife 7.
Firefighters said that six other patients were transported to Shands of Live Oak to be treated for non life threatening injuries.
Law enforcement is still on scene investigating the accident and they have warned people to still expect delays along U.S. 129 in McAlpin.
