TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Members of the North Florida Regional Domestic Security Task Force are conducting a full scale emergency training exercise at Florida's capitol on Monday.
The exercise called, "Capitol Crisis" will simulate a situation involving armed subjects in the capitol building complex. The purpose of the exercise is to prepare first responders in the event of a real emergency.
Organizers say the public should expect to see an increased law enforcement and emergency response presence in and around the capitol on Monday.
