TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Food Glorious Food and other local food establishments held a fundraiser Tuesday night to raise awareness about labor and sex trafficking in the Big Bend.
More than 100 guests attended the Imagining Freedom Fundraiser and dinner, where they were served slavery-free food and learned about labor and sex trafficking in our area.
Event coordinators say the purpose of the event is to get people to start learning about where their food is coming from, and how it is made.
Later in the event, members from Survive and Thrive Advocacy shared statistics about labor and sex trafficking across America and ways to help end it.
