BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WTXL) - Bainbridge Public Safety officers are asking for the public's help in identifying two women wanted for questioning about shoplifting at a Dollar General Store.

Officers say that on Tuesday, May 8, the assistant manager of the Dollar General on North Broad Street in downtown Bainbridge saw on surveillance video two white femailes taking items off shelves and putting them into their handbags.

A Facebook post said the manager asked the two women to show her the inside of their handbags and the women refused, left the store and entered a red two-door car.

The manager followed the women out of the store and stood behind their car while calling 911.

The driver of the red car backed up with no regard for the manager, who was attempting to block the car from leaving. The car exited the parking lot and headed east on Calhoun Street.

If you think you recognize one or both of the women, or the car they were driving, you are asked to contact Officer Chuck Strickland at (229) 726 - 8530.
