ATLANTA (AP) - Authorities say seven people were being taken to a hospital after a dump truck collided with a public bus.

MARTA spokeswoman Alisa Jackson said in a statement to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (http://on-ajc.com/1TctUeM) that all seven were headed to Grady Memorial Hospital with injuries she described as not life-threatening. MARTA is short for Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority.

The newspaper reports that the crash happened shortly before 9 a.m. Tuesday at Perry Boulevard and Marietta Road.

Details on the injured were not immediately available, but Jackson said one of them was the bus driver.
