SARASOTA, FL (WWSB) – whether you donate blood or money, Texas is in critical need of assistance. Nothing is too small.

SunCoast Blood Bank is asking for blood donations this week to help those in Texas.

In Texas, their local blood banks are unable to operate due to flooding and damage.

Platelets, all blood types, and especially universal type O negative blood, are critically needed at this time. Donors can schedule a blood donation appointment or walk in at any SunCoast Blood Bank donor center or bloodmobile.
