TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- It's been a week and a half since 6-year-old Mason Rhinehart was stabbed to death, and on Saturday the community came together in support.

Hundreds took part in Painting in the Park Saturday morning. It was a kind of art therapy for kids to paint pictures or make cards of their memories of Mason.

Many of the art supplies were donated, and will now be given to Killearn Lakes Elementary School.

The memorial also included a balloon release.

Nuberri Frozen Yogurt is also supporting Mason's family. All three of its Tallahassee locations are took part in a fundraiser, giving 25-percent of purchases to the Rhinehart family.

Meanwhile, in just 10 days more than 500 people have donated to an online account in memory of Mason, raising nearly $24,000. You can contribute by clicking here.
