TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)-- Today was the final race of the year for the Tallahassee Youth Triathlon Series.
It was held at the FSU Morcom Aquatic Center on Pottsdamer Street. More than 200 kids ages five to 15 swam, biked and ran their way to the finish line.
After the race, the series awarded gifts to Physical Education departments at local schools that had the most participation. The top prize, $300 in Academy Sports and Outdoors gift cards, went to Roberts Elementary. Hawks Rise Elementary won $200 in Academy gift cards for second place. Third place was a tie between Gilchrist Elementary and Killearn Lakes Elementary who will each receive $100 in Academy gift cards.
