TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - College students in the Capital City now have an app made specifically for them called Hummingbiird.

The *Hummingbiird app - spelled with two i's - is a one-stop-shop for students to find affordable services and businesses started by other students around town.

They can search by category, read reviews and make appointments.

The Two FSU graduates who started the app threw a launch party Wednesday night with a focus on bringing aspiring entrepreneurs together.

Attendees had the opportunity to pitch and get feedback on their start up ideas from local business owners like Hummingbiird.

Matthew Solomon, a co-founder of Hummingbiird, said that "We wanted to give the students a way to grow their brands and connect with other students who are searching for those services."

Zachary Polito, a co-founder of Hummingbiird, said that "Workers that are college students are able to make money on their free time while also growing their brand, growing the skills that a lot of them posess that a lot of them just don't know how to get out in clientele."

The founders of Hummingbiird say they're going to continue fine tuning the app here in Tallahassee before expanding to other college towns around the state.

You can download Hummingbiird in the App Store.
