TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- The US Housing and Urban Development secretary announces an $84 Million dollar grant to support 380 local homeless programs in Florida.
The grant hopes to ensure that local housing and service programs will be able to provide housing and support services to persons and families experiencing homelessness.
The local programs receiving the grants offer a variety of services including street outreach, client assessment, and direct housing assistance.
Nationally, HUD awarded $1.8 billion.
