ADEL, GA (WTXL) - Residents have been allowed to return to their homes after police and fire officials evacuated the area near Advanced Cylinder & Tank in Adel, Georgia, on Tuesday.
According to the Adel Fire Chief, the company was burning off propane when a loose connection caught fire, causing the fire to spread to 4 nearby tanks.
Instead of putting out the fire, officials cooled the tanks and let the fire burn itself out. Once it was out, residents were allowed to return to their homes.
