HOMERVILLE, Ga. (WTXL)--A Homerville police officer is arrested for sexual assault.
On December 30, the Homerville Police Department asked for assistance from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Douglas office regarding sexual assault allegations made by a Clinch County Jail inmate.
The inmate said in November of last year Homerville Police Officer Santiargo Lopaz King took her from the jail to another location. The GBI said both then voluntarily consented to sexual activity. He's charged with sexual assault by a law enforcement officer.
