TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Christmas is just around the corner and while people are scrambling to get those gifts to loved ones, so are the workers.
WTXL ABC 27's Jada Williams on Wednesday caught up with workers at the UPS Store while they worked to send those packages out.
It's definitely coming down to the wire for you to get those gifts out of the door so that that they make it to your loved ones before Christmas Day.
Over at the UPS Store, Williams caught the team on a rare slow down, with just a little trickle of people coming in for help.
But General Manager Jesse Johnston says that this month the store has barely been able to slow down from all of the people looking to ship things off.
He says they're running out of room in the stock room despite the fact that a UPS Delivery man is picking up shipments twice a day.
"We try to make it as easy as possible," Johnston said. "We understand that our customers have a lot going on this time of year, so anything we can do to take some things off their list, we make it as easy as possible. They can bring it in, we can pack it for them, ship it for them, if they prefer packing it themselves, we have the supplies we can sell them and they can take it home and pack it themselves. Whatever they need, we try to meet it as best we can to make it easy for them."
The very last day to send package out via UPS is Friday, December 21, to make sure it arrives by Christmas Eve.
The same goes for FedEx.
If you're sending those packages off by snail mail, the deadline for Retail Ground is the 14th.
If you opt to do Priority, make sure it's in the mail by the 20th and you're last chance going through the post office is the 22nd of this month.
