TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- A well-known Tallahassee building will be getting a makeover, to become the Capital City's very first distillery. The "All-Saints Distilling Company" will open in the historic Coca-Cola building on Saint Michaels.
Dean Minardi, the man behind "Garages on Gaines" is spear-heading the project. He says he plans to start with vodka and gin at the distillery. In addition, he says he picked the location because he hopes to keep it's history intact, like he did with the "Garages on Gaines."
"The momentum is left and All Saints is now becoming something cool", said Minardi, "And we wanted to build an anchor or something that brought people here and hopefully that'll spur more housing in the area. And I love old buildings. I just hate tearing this stuff down. It just makes me crazy."
This distillery is expected to fully open within the next two years.
