TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee man was found with drugs and a gun in his vehicle after he led officers on a high speed chase.

According to court documents, on Tuesday at about 8:57 p.m. officers were patrolling around West Tennessee Street when they saw a vehicle speeding.

Officers began chasing after the vehicle when the driver refused to stop, but they ended up losing sight of the vehicle for about 10 minutes. Police say they then suddenly spotted the driver Reginald Warner, 27, sitting on a bench on Call Street.

When officers approached Warner he got up from the bench and walked away. He continued to resist officers verbal commands, but eventually they were able to arrest him.

Officers later found the vehicle parked on FSU's campus. When they approached the vehicle they could smell a "strong odor of marijuana" coming from the vehicle. This led to officers searching Warner's vehicle.

Documents say the following items were found during the search:

  • A loaded gun
  • 3.8 grams of marijuana
  • A digital scale
  • $135
  • A box of plastic baggies

In addition to those items, officers found five traffic citations and one arrest affidavit that was previously issued to Warner.

According to documents, Warner was transported to the Leon County Detention Facility. He is facing multiple charges including, marijuana possession with intent to sell and possession of a firearm.

Warner has since bonded out.
