TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - With Tuesday's severe weather, many FSU students were curious as to whether or not classes were going to be canceled.
Florida A&M University canceled classes until 3pm Tuesday. With a tornado warning issued for Leon County that morning, students were waiting to hear about the state of their school day.
FSU Police Department's emergency management director, Dave Bujak, said that even though the National Weather Service issued warnings for the campus, the conditions on the ground did not materialize.
He also said that the university's emergency management team started preparing for Tuesday's weather the day before to ensure student safety, but the weather was not a threat to campus.
