SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Many rivers in Suwannee County are steadily rising, causing flooding in the area with more flooding anticipated this week.
The Suwannee County Sheriff's Office is warning that all area rivers, most notably Suwannee and Sante Fe rivers, are still rising due to the past two weeks' rain events.
According to the NWS-Jax, all area rivers are under a flood warning until further notice. And with the potential for heavy rain and thunderstorms on Thursday, more flooding is anticipated in Suwannee County.
The sheriff's office shared pictures of the flooding on Monday and Tuesday.
