GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Five people are in serious condition after a head-on crash in Gadsden County on 4/22.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened on US 27, just north of Schwall Road.
Troopers say a Toyota pickup was driving the wrong way down the southbound lane, colliding with a Chevy pickup truck, coming over a hill. The driver of the truck was unable to avoid the collision, and the two vehicles hit each other head-on.
The wrong way driver, 24-year-old Caleb Lockard of Tallahassee, was air lifted to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. FHP believes he may have been driving drunk.
Four passengers in the other truck, two adults and two minors from Green Bay, Wisconsin, were taken to the hospital by ambulance. No word on their current condition.
