HAVANA,Fla. (WTXL)-- Gadsden County teacher is now under investigation and suspended for inappropriate behavior.
Timothy Jansen is the attorney for an unnamed teacher at Havana Middle School accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student on Friday.
Jenson told WTXL more about his clients reaction to these allegations.
"We"ll we are shocked and the teacher is shocked and disappointment in the administration in the allegations. We think there is some miscommunication going on." said Jensen.
The Gadsden County School Board Superintendent confirmed in a statement that the teacher with the allegations is on paid administrative leave.
The Gadsden County Sheriff's Office is also looking into the allegations.
Jansen admits that there were text messages exchanged between the teacher and the student... but denies they were of an inappropriate nature.
The teacher's attorney says "there might have been some communications, the teacher might have tried to help a student attend a field trip and donate some money for her and another student to go."
The investigation is currently ongoing.
