TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A group of local families got the chance to get their minds of their daily struggles and enjoy some Seminole baseball Tuesday night.
It's all thanks to an organization helping families of children suffering from chronic or life-altering illnesses.
The Hang Tough Foundation treated several families to Tuesday night's FSU baseball game against Stetson.
The organization, based in Florida's Capital City, helps local families with challenges and needs they may have.
Organizers say the get together was to help families feel normal.
"What you're looking at tonight is a family fun night where a family can come and just be that, a family," explained Janelle Irwin, Co-founder and president of Hang Tough Foundation. "Not have to worry about medical issues not have to worry about the cost of an event because we completely cover that cost and so we just welcome them here and let them have a free fun night on us where they can just be a family and enjoy themselves."
The organization says they treat families to events like this throughout the year thanks to fundraising. For more information, visit www.HangToughFoundation.org.
