TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) --  As people all over the country express their outrage over the events in Ferguson, Missouri, students in Tallahassee are using Twitter.

#HandsUpTally is already widely being used on Twitter and Instagram. A rally at the capital is planned for 6 pm Thursday evening, and several people have already pledged to be there.

@FSUCSA Tweeted, "If you are in Tallahassee, we encourage you to participate #HandsUpTally."

@EstoyLexie Tweeted, "#MikeBrown should be heading to college instead of a morgue."

Many local students are using the hashtag to express their concern for a situation like this happening in Tallahassee, "Be there. Because what's stopping it from happening in our community the next time?" tweeted Vince Ross.
