JASPER, Fla.-- A Hamilton County woman is dead after crashing her car into several trees.
It happened around 1:00 a.m. on November 10 a few miles outside of Jasper on Southwest 107th Avenue. Florida Highway Patrol troopers say 18-year-old William Katelyn Mitchell was driving more than 60 mph in a 35 mph speed zone and lost control of the car. Troopers say Mitchell was not wearing her seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle.
Troopers are continuing to investigate.
