HAMILTON COUNTY, Fla. (WXTL)--Investigators in Hamilton County uncover a marijuana grow operation.

The Hamilton County Drug Task Force found 179 marijuana plants inside a mobile home on West State Road 6.

Investigators say an employee with Suwannee Valley Electric noticed power was being stolen from the home and notified the sheriff's office.

Thursday deputies searched the home finding the elaborate operation.

"For a small county like this it's a pretty sophisticated operation," said Hamilton County Sheriff Harrell Reid. "The amount of equipment they had in there the grow lights, the timers and watering facilities, they had it set up to go six hours of sunlight and six hours of darkness, it was some of the highest quality of marijuana buds I've seen in my 24 years this year," said Hamilton County Sheriff Harrell Reid.

The sheriff says Jose Juan Reyes Castellan lives at the home. He's charged with trafficking and producing marijuana. Castellan is in the Hamilton County Jail.
