HAMILTON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A Hamilton County Deputy is recovering from his injuries following a police chase.

According to the arrest report, William Anderson of Jennings rammed a stolen vehicle into Deputy Tony Mckire's patrol car pinning him inside.

This happened on the morning of Wednesday, June 28 on County Road 143 near I-75. Investigators say Deputy Mckire, was called out to pursue a stolen vehicle driven by Anderson. 

The deputy was going around 70 miles per hour and swerved to avoid crashing head on with Anderson.

He was pinned in his vehicle, and crews had to cut him out. The deputy sustained minor injuries.

William Anderson now facing the following charges: 

Attempted Felony Murder
Fleeing/Attempt to Elude
Drive while Licence Suspended /Habitual Offender
