NORCROSS, Ga. (AP) — An instructor at a Gwinnett County middle school has been charged with sexual assault and sexual battery of a student.
News outlets in Atlanta are reporting that James E. Buckland, a Junior Leadership Corps instructor at Summerour Middle School in Norcross, was arrested Wednesday by Gwinnett County police.
According to the arrest report, Buckland made sexual contact with a student at the school during school hours on Sept. 15.
Gwinnett County schools had not responded to a request from WSB-TV (http://bit.ly/1MfwNWM) for comment as of Wednesday night.
It was not immediately known whether Buckland has an attorney.
