TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - US Representative Gwen Graham is holding an essay contest for all middle school students that live in the 14 counties in the Second Congressional District.
The essay contest is focused on black history month and is called "My Dream for America."
The theme was chosen to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King's legacy and encourage the study of his famous "I have a Dream Speech."
Graham is asking students to write about a vision for America and continuing the country's progression towards equality.
Essays can be hand delivered or mailed to either of Graham's District Offices in Panama City or Tallahassee, they must be submitted by February 27.
