PANACEA, Fla. (WTXL) -- The Gulf Specimen Marine Lab is working to save two Loggerhead Turtles.

WTXL went to the Gulf Specimen Marine Lab in Panacea and met Amazon and Joker, they are two of the largest Loggerhead Turtles workers at lab in Panacea have ever taken care of.

The sea turtles have a condition called Lathargic Loggerheard Syndrome, which causes them to float and prevents them from diving to gather food.

In order to survive, they were brought to the lab and placed in quarantine.

Workers say the are expected to return to good health and hope to release them in a few months.
