ATLANTA (AP) — Georgia State University will offer students co-ed dorm room options next school year.
GSU Director of Housing Marilyn De La Roche told local media Tuesday that students have been asking for co-ed housing options for more than a decade. De La Roche says the housing option will be offered by request and those who don't want a roommate of the opposite sex won't be assigned one.
GSU officials say families and gay, lesbian and transgender students have made requests for gender inclusive housing in the past.
