LOWNDES COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL)--The Georgia State Patrol Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team was back on I-75 Tuesday investigating the area where a deadly crash took place.
Georgia State Patrol troopers say it happened in the outside southbound lane of the interstate one mile north of exit 11 in Lowndes County.
They say a commercial truck was driving slow and a ford focus slammed into the back of it.
Then a semi-truck hit the car.
The driver of the car, 30-year-old Shawn Ryster of Hahira was killed.
Troopers say the semi-truck driver Dee Bee Patrick was taken to the hospital for his injuries and has been released. The truck was hauling beer and rolled over, taking hours to clean up.
Troopers say Leon Calliway who's from Illinois was driving the commercial truck. They say he will face charges.
