TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - An area burger restaurant is giving customers a chance to participate in the 2nd Annual WTXL Turkey Drive a few days early.

Monday, November 16 through Wednesday, November 18, customers that mention the Turkey Drive at Grub Burger Bar will have part of the cost of their meal donated to America's Second Harvest of the Big Bend.

The restaurant says this event is to make sure everyone in the big bend has food on their table this Thanksgiving.

"One of our goals is to get out in the community and help move our community forward and if we can collaborate with WTXL, Second Harvest, and other businesses, we can turn this into something really big, and really has some value if we can get other restaurants to coordinate and maybe lead the charge with us," said Brandon Blanchard of Grub Burger.

The Turkey Drive is Thursday, November 19 at Ponce De Leon Park in downtown Tallahassee.

Donations can be made by driving by the park and volunteers will be there to take your frozen turkey or cash donation.

Last year, more than 250 turkeys and $3,600 were raised during the Turkey Drive.
