TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The annual Owl Run at Gretchen Everhart School took place this morning.
Community members gathered to participate in the run. It featured special needs students from Gretchen Everhart who were joined by local middle school students. The run has been a school tradition for nearly twenty years.
"It's great to be out here, all of our schools are participating today," said Superintendent Jackie Pons. "They'll be running a great race, not only to get out, participate and run, and be part of what we do everyday, our wellness program, but a great chance to see what Everhart is all about."
With school and community support, today's race brought record numbers for the event.
