TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A grand jury has cleared two Tallahassee police officers of any wrong-doing in two officer involved shootings.

After meeting for two days, jurors ruled in favor of Tallahassee Police Officer David Stith and Officer Brian Davis.

The grand jury decided that Stith was justified in the shooting on Tharpe Street that resulted in the death of burglary suspect Jeremy Lett.

Jurors also decided that Officer Brian Davis was justified in firing his weapon in a January shooting where he said he felt threatened.

WTXL ABC 27 spoke with Tallahassee Police Chief Michael DeLeo after the decisions were announced.

"It's a good process that's in place and now we'll go move forward with our internal review of these shootings and look at policy and training recommendations that may need to be made based on these shootings," said Chief DeLeo.
