GRADY COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - Corruption and mismanagement are two issues that Grady County community members claim are happening at an electric company.
Dozens held a protest earlier Wednesday to voice their concerns.
Protesters say that they feel like there's not enough transparency between the administration and customers, while others say they feel like there's a lack of representation for people who may not be familiar with how things work internally.
Protester Linda Roberts says it was important for her to show up and stand up for what she believes is right.
"We want to be noticed, and we know that there is a Facebook presence. But we want Grady EMC to know that we mean business, that we are not just talking, that we mean business, and we are willing to stand in the rain," said Roberts.
Grady EMC leaders say they do everything they can to be clear and open to their customers and members and they are doing what they can to listen to customer complaints and adjust accordingly.
