CAIRO, Ga. (WTXL)--A Grady County man dies in a crash over the Memorial Day weekend.
According to the Georgia State Patrol post in Thomasville, the accident happened on Saturday on Hadley Ferry Road.
Troopers say 52-year-old Terry Merritt was rounding a curve when he lost control of the car, hit a mailbox and a small tree, and then flipped several times.
He was thrown from the car.
Forty-nine-year-old Luann Maxwell was airlifted to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Merritt and 14 others died on Georgia roads over Memorial Day weekend.
The Georgia Department of Public Safety conducted the traffic count that started at 6 p.m. Friday and wrapped up at midnight on Monday.
