TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A man convicted of killing his estranged wife and her 5-year-old son is scheduled for execution.
Governor Rick Scott signed the death warrant for 63-year-old John R. Henry. Henry is scheduled to die June 18 at the Florida State Prison in Starke.
John Henry was convicted for stabbing to death his estranged wife Suzanne Henry, following an argument. Prosecutors say Henry then took the woman's five year old son to a remote area of Hillsborough County, and killed him.
John Henry was previously convicted in 1975 of fatally stabbing his first wife, Patricia Roddy. Henry had been out of prison for three years when he murdered Suzanne Henry and her son.
