TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Florida Governor Rick Scott is now requesting 1,300 Zika antibody tests from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
This is one of many requests the governor has made to the federal government, in order to combat the Zika virus in Florida.
The governor says these tests would allow residents, especially pregnant women and mothers, to see if they ever had the Zika virus.
Governor Scott has previously requested 5,000 preparedness kits, as well as resources to enhance mosquito surveillance.
Florida has the most confirmed cases of the Zika virus out of any state.
