TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Gov. Rick Scott will travel to Puerto Rico on Thursday at the invitation of the Puerto Rican government.
Scott will join Gov. Ricardo Rosselló and other officials as they pay tribute to those who lost their lives during Hurricane Maria.
Since before Hurricane Maria made landfall, Scott has been in contact with Puerto Rican officials to offer assistance and guidance in response to and recovery from, the storm.
Scott says he also established several disaster recovery centers to connect evacuees in Florida to assistance and services.
This will be Scott's eighth trip to Puerto Rico since the storm.
