TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Gov. Ron DeSantis inauguration may be over, but the energy felt over the last two days is carrying well into the week.

Several events were held over the first two days of this week, including the prayer breakfast, the inaugural ball and the inauguration itself.

What was not held this year? An inaugural parade, something DeSantis requested not to have.

WTXL ABC 27 Political Contributor Dr. Ed Moore told me Wednesday night it might be a sign of the times

"Security is always an issue," Moore said. "Even at the ball last night you had to long lines to get in and go through screenings. An open parade anymore is an invitation to protestors and potential bad things happening."

Dr. Moore says DeSantis has been very busy getting to work working to fulfill his campaign promises.

He adds he expect to see the governor traveling around the state a lot and working with lawmakers in all parties.
