TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Florida Governor Rick Scott has signed an executive order calling for a special election following former State Senator Frank Artiles' resignation.
Scott signed the executive order on Monday for district 40 of the Florida Senate. This follows Artiles' resignation on April 21.
A Special Primary Election will be held on July 25th and a Special Election will be held on September 26, 2017. See the Executive Order HERE.
