TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Gov. Rick Scott is offering to station state troopers at the Florida high school where 17 people were killed last month.

This comes after several students were arrested and the school's resource officer was suspended for allegedly falling asleep in a marked police vehicle.

One student is accused of pulling a knife out of her bra during a fight; another allegedly displayed a knife on a bus; and a third allegedly made a threat on social media.

A gunman killed 17 people at the Parkland school on February 14 in one of the worst mass shootings in modern U.S. history.

Scott wrote a letter to Broward County authorities that offered the troopers.

He said he heard from parents of students at the school, including the parents of victims, and they are still concerned about safety there.
