TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Florida Governor Rick Scott released a calculator Thursday to help Floridians enter information from their monthly bills to see how much money a proposed cell phone and tv tax cut would save them.
The cell phone and tv tax cuts are part of Scott's proposal to cut $673 million in taxes for Florida families this year. It is part of his 2015-2016 "KEEP FLORIDA WORKING" Budget.
Governor Rick Scott said, "Families know how to spend their money better than government and we are laser-focused on cutting the cell phone and TV tax so every family can save an average of $43 a year for spending just $100 a month on their cell phone and TV bills. I urge all Floridians to use our calculator to see what their savings will be with our tax cut."
The calculator is available on KeepFloridaWorking.com.
