TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Florida State University's Marching Chiefs are not the only ones who have had a halftime performance go viral. One of the Tallahassee's high schools have brought an internet sensation to the field.
Godby High School's Marching Cougar Band added a bit of flare to their halftime performance in October.
During the performance, drum major Savannah Cayson broke out into the Shmoney Dance.
But what is the Schmoney Dance?
It's a two-step routine popularized by Brooklyn rapper Bobby Shmurda. He uploaded a video to Youtube for a song of his back in March. In the video, he breaks out into a routine of twisting his back and arms - and that's what got people talking.
Even Beyonce and Jay-Z got wind of the dance, incorporating it into their "On The Run" tour.
Even though she performed the dance twice, Cayson was not the only one bringing the surprises to the halftime show. At the end of the video, the band joined in.
The crowd went wild - similar to the way the crowd reaction to the Marching Chiefs' rendition of "Single Ladies."
The Facebook video of Godby's performance has over 2.7 million views and over 53,000 shares.
