Giving Thanks: A Look at Teens Helping the Community

Posted

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- A Sunrise tradition continues this Thanksgiving, giving a special shout-out to so many high school students who are giving back to our community.

John and Jane Marks joined us on WTXL Sunrise to celebrate high schools in Leon and surrounding counties.

"During the holidays, we like to give special attention to these high schools for service projects that extend anywhere from organizing toy drives to donations or special projects," said Marks. "Students in our community understand the importance of giving and have done so in multiple, multiple ways and this morning we are going to start by showcasing as many high schools as we can and some of their efforts. Some you'll be surprised at and some you'll know that your own teenager has been involved in."
