UPDATE: ABC News is reporting that Donald Trump is leaning towards Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as VP.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Newt Gingrich says he's expecting to hear from Donald Trump this afternoon about his choice of a running mate.
The former House speaker is said to be one of the top three contenders, along with Indiana Gov. Mike Pence and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
Gingrich tells The Associated Press that Trump has run a "very fair, open process" and said he looked forward to learning his decision.
Gingrich later posted on Facebook that he would hold a live chat at 2 p.m. Eastern time about the "vice presidential picks and the VP selection process."
