TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- Tuesday night Andrew Gillum received 75% of the vote in the primary election. However, he was going to still have to face a write in candidate in the November election.
Now there seems to be a change of plans for the man that people are already calling Tallahassee's next mayor.
Gillium broke the news live on WTXL ABC 27 that the write in candidate has withdrawn from the race. "We just learned, a couple of moments ago, that the gentleman who was the write in candidate has submitted his letter to the supervisor of elections withdrawing his name," said Gillum.
