MIDWAY, FL (WTXL) - People are breaking out their new gifts and for some, that gift is a firearm, meaning more people are applying for concealed weapons permits.
Florida officials say over 78,000 new concealed weapons licenses were issued this year. In addition over 30,000 licenses were renewed.
Taking classes is the first step in getting those permits though and a local gun range says most of their classes are full, which may be due to those holiday gifts.
Teachers at the Talon Training Range, say this time of the year is always the busiest.
