ATLANTA (AP) - A 17-time felon has been sentenced to 16 years and three months in prison after he was found guilty of possession of ammunition by a convicted felon.
U.S Attorney Sally Quillian Yates of the Northern District of Georgia says 43-year-old Keith Wade, of College Park, was sentenced Monday. Authorities say many of the crimes Wade committed over the past 20 years have involved guns. Acting on an anonymous tip, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives searched his house in December 2010 and found two fully loaded assault rifle magazines.
Wade has been arrested for violent felonies, drug-related offenses and theft. He's also ordered to serve five years of supervised release and may have to pay a fine of up to $250,000.
